Outside of her career, Tanisha has many noteworthy hobbies and interests: she's an aspiring actress who enjoys a challenging role, a world traveler who loves observing and interacting with other cultures, a public speaker, and she possesses a general passion for life and helping people, which is visibly apparent through her enthusiasm and work ethic. These interests have taught Tanisha how to be creative, open-minded, understanding, and resourceful, which have benefited her in both her personal and professional life.
Tanisha regularly volunteers with charitable organizations that focus on youth and adult wellbeing. She has done public speaking to discuss continuing education, leadership skills and health and wellness with an overall goal to help others maximize their full potential.
Currently the reigning Mrs. California Petite, she envisions using this platform to expand her volunteering efforts even further across the state of California. She has started a 501c3 with her oldest daughter to increase awareness about assistance programs that are offered in comminutes across the country.
Tanisha isn't afraid to speak candidly on her life experiences, now able to reflect with subtle humor on the events that have molded her into the woman she is today. Having experienced being a single mother for several years, she learned about sacrifice and self-motivation.
Growing up she was taught “where there’s a will, there’s a way”, and that was one of her drivers to push past hurdles and succeed. She shares her story in hopes to inspire others to not allow their circumstances to inhibit their life’s purpose.
